COTTAGE GARDEN

Ambon Island has a wonderful natural wealth. In this beautiful island there is a combination of natural beach and mountain nature produces a unique exoticism. This power had been the main base when a five-star hotel facilities built there, namely Aston Hotel – Ambon.
Ambon island become one of the small islands in the Maluku islands. The island is very specific because the horseshoe in a horizontal position with the overdraft into a bay of Ambon. Because of the plain that “thin” then formed a situation that is developing the region following the shoreline around the island. On one side is bordered by the beach, and on the other side of the hilly land. The vegetation does not resemble any coastal vegetation in general, but more like a heterogeneous forest with diverse species of trees that grow lush and dense, especially on the higher side of the hill. The beach side area dominated by plants typical of the beach but has a wide canopy.
Some areas on the beach feels barren because the soil tends to sandy and rocky reefs. Naturally the beach is only a few types of plants are able to survive with this kind of micro climate. Efforts to greening hotels large enough area that is hard work from the team Tropica Greeneries with landscape architect Ir. The hotel is exploiting the potential of the coast into this plus value. The mass of U-shaped building overlooking the beach at the rear flank the outdoor facilities such as plazas, swimming pool and playground, so as to form a private area on the inside. Side facing outwards, enhancing the facade which focused on the drop-off area for guests.

Concept greeneries more emphasis on efforts to greening the arid coastal areas with forage full of flowers and colors (fully bloom and the color) is often termed to as cottage garden. This concept is widely used in gardens that complement the building villas in Europe, especially England.
