Seasonal Depression and Light Therapy

In the early 1980s the United States, Professor Rosenthal has discovered the benefits of light therapy lamps. At first they were used in cases of seasonal depression called SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Light therapy is now practiced in some hospitals in some diseases, but also issues related to the disturbance of the biological clock (circadian rhythm problems) like insomnia and sleep disorders in general.
